Power Factor Calculator

This Power Factor (P.F) Calculator determines the current power factor, apparent power (S) in kVA, reactive power (Q) in kVAR, and the required capacitor value for power factor correction in microfarads (µF) and kVAR. To compute the capacitance of a capacitor bank (in µF and kVAR), current power factor, reactive power (kVAR), and apparent power (kVA), input the following: active power (kW), current (amps), voltage (volts), frequency (50 or 60 Hz), supply system (single or three-phase), and the desired power factor. Then, click “Calculate” to obtain the results for capacitance (µF), apparent power (kVA), and reactive power (kVAR).
